I am a freelance photojournalist and journalist born in Vila Real de Trás-os-Montes, Portugal, in the glorious 80's.

I began working in Jerusalem as a correspondent for LUSA - Portuguese News Agency after which I focused on photojournalism and documentary photography. Since then, my reporting has taken me from covering Portugal and Spain, amidst the European economic crisis, to the Middle East, reporting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to Kashmir to document Indian military rule over Kashmir's population.

I was named by TIME Magazine one of  '34 Female Photographers to Follow'.

Both my photography and writing have been published in Al Jazeera English, AJ+, Foreign Affairs, Newsweek [Japan], Courrier International [Portugal], Rhythms Monthly [Taiwan], Profil [Austria], Il Reportage [Italy], Informatìon [Denmark], El País [Spain], The Week [US], The International Business Times, Sydney Morning Herald [Australia], Aftenposten Innsikt [Norway], Woz Die Wochenzeitung [Switzerland], Haaretz [Israel], RFI — Radio France Internationale, LUSA Portuguese News Agency, Huck Magazine [UK], La Vanguardia [Spain], Diario ABC [Spain], among many others.
