I am a freelance photojournalist and journalist born in Vila Real de Trás-os-Montes, Portugal, in the glorious 80's. My reporting has taken me from covering Portugal and Spain, amidst the European economic crisis, to Kashmir, in the latest escalation 70 years after the Partition of the Indian sub-continent, and to the Middle East, covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as photojournalist and correspondent for several media outlets.

I was named by TIME Magazine as one of  '34 Female Photographers to Follow'.

Both my photography and writing can be seen in Al Jazeera English, AJ+, Foreign Affairs, The International Business Times, Courrier International, El País [Spain], The Week [US], Il Reportage [Italy], Sydney Morning Herald [Australia], Aftenposten Innsikt [Norway], Woz Die Wochenzeitung [Switzerland], Haaretz [Israel], RFI — Radio France Internationale, Público [Portugal], LUSA Portuguese News Agency, Huck Magazine [UK], Narratively [US], The Establishment [US], Ctxt Magazine [Spain], La Vanguardia [Spain], Diario ABC [Spain], Eyes Open Magazine [Italy], Slanted Magazine [Germany], 7K Zazpika [Basque Country], among others.
